HIRING A PITTSBURGH WEDDING PLANNER

by Cavanaugh’s BrideShow / April 27, 2022

A professional Wedding Planner will act in as many or as few capacities as needed.  A Wedding Planner does more than just take care of details. A full-service planner helps set a realistic budget, coach you on proper etiquette and customs, offer great ideas and alert you to the latest trends in weddings.

Wedding Planners are the ones who will bring your vision to life, finding you resources & amazing options! A true Wedding Planner saves you precious time, while enhancing your wedding vision and working within your Real Budget!!

A full-service planner brings ongoing relationships with vendors, helping to match your  budget and style with the right wedding providers for you, while also able to work with any vendors you may already have.

A professional planner is a sounding board for your ideas & should be full of great suggestions! Coordinating face-to-face meetings with vendors, looking over contracts, and providing you with regular progress reports, will take all of these responsibilities off your plate. This can include narrowing vendor choices for your personal review, adjusting your budget as providers are chosen, and reminding you of contractual deposits, payment dates, and upcoming appointments.

Even if your venue has a wedding pro helping you, a Professional Wedding Planner will enhance that service, ensuring EVERY DETAIL is covered for your wedding!

If a Full Service Wedding Planner is not for you, consider a Wedding Day-Of Coordinator (Below).

WEDDING DAY-OF COORDINATOR

The wedding day coordinator does not assist in the planning process, but is in attendance at the rehearsal and wedding to ensure that they run as smoothly as possible.  Even though it’s called “Day Of”, you should be in contact with your coordinator a couple of months ahead of time.

A good coordinator will insist on receiving detailed information on the service providers that you have chosen. Be prepared to provide him or her with copies of your vendor contracts & contact info.  This helps the coordinator determine if the vendors are performing according to terms.

If you don’t have a Wedding Planner, a Day-Of Coordinator will take care of all of the small, sometimes forgotten, but essential details.  This allows you to really enjoy your wedding day without worrying about the timing & details of the day and all of the activities that take place the reception.

And that’s why . . . Love Starts Here!
