2 Generations of Cavanaugh’s Brides
WE LOVE, LOVE THIS GENERATIONAL STORY!

When my husband Dan & I (Donna) started Cavanaugh’s BrideShows, way back in the late 80’s, we never dreamed how the business would grow and take off. We actually had a couple of shows at the Civic Arena, and if you were one of our vendors at those shows, I am sure you’ll never forget how cold it was!
Since our largest show is always in January (hockey season), the Civic Arena only had a thin layer of something between us and the ice! Luckily after 2 years at the Civic Arena, we landed at the Hilton Hotel (now the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown) and have been there ever since!
Also in the early days, we would give away a Grand Prize of an (almost) complete wedding package!
Dee and Jack attended one of those first bridal shows and were the winners of the Grand Prize. So nice to see they are still happily married!!
Fast Forward: At our recent 2022 January Bridal Show at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown, Dee approached us and told us that she and her now husband of many years, had one that prize!
Dee was now here with their daughter Courtney who was engaged and planning her own wedding to Zac.
Wishing Courtney & Zac all the best in life, love and wedding planning! And a long and happy marriage!
Thanks Dee! We were so appreciative that she had let us know who she was and also happy to see 2 generations of Cavanaugh’s Brides.
This isn’t the first time we’ve encountered 2 generations, but to be the Grand Prize winners from so long ago was such a nice tie-in!
